A Day in the Life: Teacher Edition

Hi y'all,

Today I'm going to share all about a normal day in my life.

Today's post is going up a little bit later than normal. My first day back teaching was today, and the prep for it was basically nonexistent, so I'm a little behind.

Anyway my normal teaching day looks like this:

5:30 A.M. Alarm goes off.

5:45 A.M. Alexa goes off. This is when I actually get up.

5:45-6 A.M. I wash my face and eat breakfast.

6-6:20 A.M. Get dressed, do my minimal makeup (literally foundation and mascara), make sure my bag is ready, start my car.

6:20-6:40 A.M. Drive to my friend's house to meet for carpool.

6:45-7:10 A.M. Drive to school. *If I drive straight to school it takes about 45 minutes.

7:10-8:00 A.M. Prep for the day. Turn on my TV, set up Chromebook and Morning Message. Make sure copies are made and ready.

8:00-3:15 Teaching

3:15ish-4:20 Drive home

When I get home, I do some sort of workout and or finish work for the day! Today, I had to grade some Spelling Inventories (for all you teachers, it's the Ganske/DSA). I also finished their Learning Menu/Choice Board for the week.

Around 5:30-6 is dinner.

If I haven't worked out, I do that after dinner, and then I take a shower and head to bed. I watch Hulu for a while and fall asleep. I often fall asleep while watching t.v.

What's a normal day for you like?

xx,
Lindsey
